On Friday, May 9, 2014, we celebrated Hands On Atlanta’s core work, our role in the community and honored our heroes – our Hands On Atlanta dedicated volunteers!
The Holly Palmer Rhodes Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Debbie and Richard Goldmsith, founders of our Discovery Program. Ever week for the past 24 years, Hands On Atlanta's Discovery volunteers, under the Goldsmiths' guidance, have tutored and mentored students to inspire creative ways of learning and becoming positive role models to help them see possibilities for their future.
